Sunday September 21st saw the Annual Showbus rally take place, returning this year to Duxford in Cambridgeshire. As usual there was a wide selection of both modern and vinatage vehicles and in Routremaster 60 year a large selection of Routemasters. What has been noticeable over the past ten years has been the reduction in the support from the large groups outside of the 'local' area.
Stagecoach East again sent its Open Top Bristol FLF, although this year it was transferred to Cambridge a few days before and went from there, rather than Peterborough. Two further Open Tops from Stagecoach were Trident 'Rocky' from Skegness and Cambridge's Volvo Olympian 16541.
A selection of the Stagecoach vehicles - and a few from other fleets are below. I understand that the BBC's 'One Show' was filming at the event and that it should feature in a broadcast this week.
