The Managing Director of Stagecoach Midlands has provided confrmation on the amalgamation of Operating Licences for his company. "I would confirm that all Stagecoach Midlands United Counties Omnibus Company registrations in the Eastern Traffic Area have been cancelled and have been replaced with new Midland Red (South) Ltd registrations with effect from October 12th 2014. After that date Stagecoach Midlands will run its services under two separate operating licences - Midland Red (South) Ltd in the West Midlands Traffic Area and Midland Red (South) Ltd in the Eastern Traffic Area. We have to run under two licences as we operate in two different Traffic Commissioner areas". This means that from October 12th the United Counties Omnibus Company name will dissapear from the legal address on buses. It will provide the strange sight of buses operating from Northampton, Corby and Kettering depots carrying Midland Red (South) Limited legal lettering.
Stagecoach London has shown the transfer of Trident 17571 to Norfolk Green. Confimation on the transfer is being sought. They will be released after Ryder Cup duties and will be converted to single door layout and repainted before entering service with Stagecoach South. A further acquisition to the fleet and allocate to Winchester is Volvo B10M/Alexander PS 20937.
