The company has launched its new EDL Enviro 400MMC vehicles for the S1 and S2 group of services operated from Witney depot.
The main picture below shows (L-R): Stagecoach in Oxfordshire Managing Director, Chris Coleman, Commercial Director; Karen Coventry, Operations Director; Martin Gibbon, Chief Engineer; Terry Absalom with the new buses, which is the first major upgrade of buses on the route since the delivery of the Gold-spec Scania/Enviro 400s ten years ago. The 21 new buses represents an investment of over £5 million. They have next stop audio and visual displays.
The company said: “From 28th  October two of the new buses will go into service with the remaining 19 being gradually added to the fleet, with completion set for November 2019”.
We understand that as of this morning 11233-36/38/39 were available for service.
The displaced Scania/Enviro 400s are destined for cascade to Stagecoach Yorkshire and Stagecoach East Midlands with 15612 already with Stagecoach East Midlands and part of the Go West Travel Long Sutton fleet.
ADL Enviro 400MMC 10735 remains on loan here from Stagecoach East Midlands and is operating from Oxford depot.

The former Norfolk Green Enviro 400s have become favourites for being put to work on the X5 service generally being used between Bedford and Cambridge although we understand that use between Bedford and Milton Keynes has also taken place. 10052/54 are on the X5 this morning with 10055 still being used by Cambridge depot whilst 10053 is at Bedford where it is being prepared for service.
Enviro 200 36934 has re-entered service at Peterborough this morning following an extended period out of service. It was previously allocated to Bedford.
