Lots of fleet changes have been reported by Stagecoach Midlands which have seen three more Volvo Olympians - 16615 (Leamington), 16619 (Stratford) and 16757 (Rugby) withdrawn for disposal. But its not all bad news on the Olympian front as 16460 from the Corby Reserve Fleet is now allocated to Stratford and 16873 has returned to service at Leamington. Former Stagecoach Manchester Trident 17613 is now in service at Rugby, whilst Leamington’s 18189 which has suffered accident damage has been replaced by 18371 transferred from Stagecoach West Scotland. Enviro 400 19020 has transferred from Kettering to Northampton in exchange for Trident 18410. Northampton has also lost MAN/ALX300 22376 to Rugby and has Reserve Fleet Dart SLF 34494 as a replacement. MAN/E200 39693 is being prepared for transfer from Northampton to Nuneaton. There have been a major shake up of the Optare Solo fleet here following the entry into service of the new Stagecoach Gold Solo SRs at Leamington. These changes are:
For transfer to Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire: 47010/15
For transfer to Stagecoach West: 47032/36/37
For transfer to Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire: 47034/35, 47513-17
To be allocated to Northampton: 47508-12
To be allocated to Stratford: 47651-54.
47046 has transferred from the Reserve Fleet to Kettering, displacing 47411 for return to Northamptonshire County Council.
Moving to Stagecoach East Midlands another two Volvo Olympians 16148 and 16456 are due to be taken out of service from Lincoln imminently and are being replaced by Tridents 17063 and 18293 which will transfer from Hull after Hull Fair duties. Also transferring from Hull to Lincoln is Dart SLF 35150 which will allow MAN/ALX300 22658 to be taken out of service for conversion to a training vehicle. MAN/ALX300 has returned to the Reserve Fleet at Gainsborough whilst 22110/18, 22278, 22306/07 and Dart SPDs 33831-33/35/36 are being allocated to the Hull Reserve Fleet but will be parked at Scunthorpe.
