Stagecoach East Midlands unveiled its new branding for its Grimsby/Cleethorpes network yesterday and its....... Simplibus. New ADL E20D/Enviro 200 37191 was used to launch the branding, which reflects the recent changes made to provide a simple to use network. During a briefing earlier this year Steven Knight Media was advised that next in line for a makeover could be the Hull network.
Stagecoach East Midlands plans to 'launch' its new Enviro 200 saloons in Grimsby this coming Thursday (27th |November) between 2pm and 7pm at the Riverside Exchange. Some of the new buses are already in service with 37188/89/93-200 having already been reported as in service. As a result Sam Boothby reports former Grimsby Darts 35140/41/43/44/45 have been seen operating from Scunthorpe depot. Another vehicle to lose InterConnect livery for corporate style is 16907.
The 18 new Plaxton Elite coaches for Stagecoach East for use on the X5 Cambridge-Oxford service (54301-18) are due for delivery next month. They will be allocated to Bedford depot.
Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire is now unlikely to take Optare Solo 47883 when it is taken out of service soon by Norfolk Green.
A ticket machine upgrade took place at Norfolk Green last weekend, with the company now using the standard Stagecoach ERG machines.
Tower Transit has started to apply fleet numbers to the vehicles at its newly-acquired Whippet Coaches.
East Yorkshire Motor Services advises us that the four ex Finglands Tridents, that it had planned to sell, 638/39/30/41, will now be retained and will oust the remianing four active Volvo Olympians in the fleet - 619/37 at Bridlington and 630/31 at Withernsea. 640 is currentlky being repainted. Also in the painshop is Volvo B7RLE 372 which is to lose its Fast Cat livery.
Registrations for the six new Scania/Enviro 400s with Stagecoach East at Fenstanton for Busway duties are confirmed as YN64ANF/P/R/U/V/X with the corresponding fleet numbers being 15197-15202.
Further Dart SLFs were colected by Stagecoach South East from Stagecoach East yesterday and have been taken to Eastbourne for pre-service inspections. The ten vehicles moved yesterday are 34433/34/35/38/39/40/41/42/43/44. A correction to previous information is that 34542 has already at Eastbourne and that 34543 remians to be collected.
Stagecoach East Midlands is starting to receive a batch of five ADL Enviro 300 saloons for Mansfield. The vehicles will carry fleet numbers 27182-86 and two have already been delivered (27183/85). Confirmed registrations for 27183-85 are SN64HXS/T/U.
It is understood that the first of the six additional Busway Scania N230UD/Enviro 400s for Stagecoach East were due to enter service from Fenstanton depot this morning. At Fenstanton over the weekend were 15199 (YN64ANR) and 15202 (YN64ANX). A further vehickle YN64ANU was also at the depot but its fleet number has not been confirmed.
Further information has been received from Stagecoach East to clarify the fleet changes that have recently taken place. Dart SLF 34538 is in the Reserve Fleet at Peterborough and not transferred to Fenstanton as had been originally reported to us. 34549 remains part of the Peterborough allocation. At Bedford Dart SLFs 34431/32 have also been taken out of service and are reported as awaiting transfer to Stagecoach West with MAN/ALX300 22322 at Cambridge also now in the Reserve Fleet. Two Open Top Tridents, 17078/79, have been transferred into the Reserve Fleet at the end of the peak operating season.
Stagecoach Midlands has completed axle repairs on Volvo Olympian 16684 and it is back in the Reserve Fleet at Corby, where former Leamington Reserve Fleet Dart SLFs 34120/21 are back in regular service. At Stratford Optare Solo 47128 has been transferred to the Reserve Fleet. Leamington’s Dart SLF 35177 and Rugby’s 34491 are also now in the Reserve Fleet. Rugby’s Volvo Olympian 16873 has been swapped with Leamington for 16757. Back in service at Corby is Optare Solo 47046, which has allowed 47402 to be transferred back to Northampton. Two Northampton Solos ousted to the Reserve Fleet are 47032 and 47124. Finally Dart SLFs 33460 and 33911 are now for disposal.
At Stagecoach Oxfordshire Scania/Enviro 400 15933 has been received at Witney as cover for damaged 15609. Two further MAN/Enviro 300s have been place into the Reserve Fleet - 22769/70 although both remain available at Oxford as cover for 15933 and damaged 12006. Dart SLF 33651 is back in the Reserve Fleet at Banbury but remains available as cover for the Optare Solo modification programme. Optare Solo 47434 is due to transfer to Stagecoach West Scotland.
The delivery of new ADL Enviro 300s to Stagecoach North East has seen MAN/ALX300s 22451/52 transferred to the Reserve Fleet and similar 22473/74/77/81/87, 22656/57/65/67/70 withdrawn for disposal with further vehicles due to be withdrawn as the remaining new E300s enter service at Stockton. Surplus MAN/ALX300s 22666 and 22673 have transferred to the Training School as route learning vehicles at Sunderland and Walkergate.
Further departures from Stagecoach East Scotland have been Trident 17127 and MAN/ALX300 22374 which are confirmed as having arrived with Stagecoach Midlands at Northampton and MAN/ALX300 22378 is thought to be en-route to Stagecoach West.
Stagecoach South has sent a number of vehicles to Stagecoach West for additional Cheltenham Race duties, including Envioro 300 27644 in full Stagecoach Norfolk Green livery. It is expected to transfer to Norfolk Green on completion of these duties.
Stagecoach South East now has eight Dart SLFs from Stagecoach East - 34541/43/44/45/46/47 have moved to Eastbourne where they are being prepared for service, whilst 34539/40 are at Ashford for repaint. Further vehicles due to be reallocated are confirmed as 34433/34/35/38/39/40/41/42/43/44, 34542/48. At Stagecoach East it is reported that 34549 remains alocated to Peterborough.
Stagecoach East Scotland is reporting that Trident 17127 and MAN/ALX300 22374 are due to transfer to Stagecoach Midlands, with MAN/ALX300 22378 being due to transfer to Stagecoach West. Two Volvo Olympians have been sold to E&M Horsburgh 16231 and 16319.
At Stagecoach West Scotland Volvo B10M coach has been withdrawn from service at Stranraer and is now at Kilmarnock being prepared as a driver training vehicle.
Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire has withdrawn Volvo B10M 52172 and Volvo Olympians 16653/54, whilst Dart SLFs 32923 has been sold.
Not previously reported is that Stagecoach London has sent two New Bus for London vehicles, 61312/13 to Stagecoach East Scotland (Strathtay) on loan.
A large number of Stagecoach London Tridents have been sold including 17451/54/60/89/90/95/98, 17507/23/29/36/38/47/50/53/54/55, 17560/65/71/76/77/82/85/87/90.
Stagecoach South West reports that repairs to fire damaged Scania/Enviro 400 15797 have been completed and it has re-entered service at Torquay/Paignton, allowing Trident 17003 to transfer to the Reserve Fleet. Also in the Reserve Fleet after completion of the Summer Season is Open Top Trident 17701. Scania/Enviro 400s have been transferred from Exeter to Barnstaple with Trident 18079 moving the other way. Recently acquired ADL Trident/Enviro 400 19065 is allocated to Exeter. Dart SLF34299 has also moved form Torquay/Paignton to the Reserve Fleet whilst the remains of fire damaged Scania/Enviro 400 15791 have ben sold.
A second ADL Enviro 300 to transfer from Stagecoach South to Norfolk Green is 27643, which was moved north on November 6th. A further two vehicles 27644 and 27645 are currently being prepared for transfer including repainting into the Stagecoach Norfolk Green livery.
Stagecoach South East reports that it has withdrawn the last of the DAF SB250 double decks, 13992/93 from Eastbourne and along with already withdrawn 13991 they have been sold. Also sold is Volvo B10M 20609. Replacements at Eastbourne are Tridents 18529/30 from Herne Bay. The company also reports that Dart SLF 33319 has gone on loan to Stagecoach South.
New Stagecoach South East Scania/Enviro 400s finished to 'Gold'-specification 15180-89 are now in service from Folkestone which has allowed standard Scania/Enviro 400s 15440/43 and 15505/06 to transfer to Herne Bay for use at Canterbury. Volvo B10Ms 20533 and 20650 have moved from Folkestone to the Reserve Fleet at Eastbourne, leaving Folkestone without any Volvo B10M saloons on its allocation. Four Volvo Olympians have been put into the Reserve Fleet 16090, 16274, 16360 and 16805 but 16591 has been put back into service at Herne Bay. Dover's Volvo B10M 20009 has ben damaged and is now for disposal.
For disposal at Stagecoach South are Dart SLFs 33325/26 and 34109. Volvo Olympian 16263 has been transferred from the Reserve Fleet to Chichester, where it has replaced 16306 which is now for disposal. Scania/Enviro 400s 15585/97 and 15986-88 have been reallocated to Worthing whilst Volvo Olympian 16590 is now in the Reserve Fleet and 16591 has transferred from Basingstoke to Winchester.
Stagecoach Manchester is now reporting that MAN/ALX300s 22105/29 are now in the Reserve Fleet. These two vehicles had been on loan to Stagecoach Yorkshire for emergency Supertram replacement work but were not used.
Stagecoach West has sold Volvo Olympian 16127; Dart SLFs 33952/62 and Volvo B10BLEs 21129/30/31. Recent transfers have seen Dart SLFs removed from the allocation at Gloucester and the transfer of MAN/Enviro 300 22620 from Swindon to Gloucester has eliminated the type from Swindon. The allocation of Dart SLFs at Stroud has increased from three to eight with 33949/56/78/80, 34404/05 and 34585/90 now at the depot. New Scania/Enviro 300 saloons 28681-88 will carry registrations YN64AOL/M/O/P/R/S/T/U.
Stagecoach East has transferred Dart SLF 34580 from Peterborough to Bedford.
Stagecoach Manchester has sold Leyland Olympian 14071; Volvo Olympians 16886/96/97, 16969; Volvo B10 21067; Volvo B6s 31327/32/33; Dart SLFs 33855/80/81/83; Optare Excel 35046 and Optare Solo 47741. Recent depot transfers here have been Optare Solo 47001 from Reserve to Ashton; MAN/ALX300s 22055 Ashton-Hyde Road and 22147 Ashton-Reserve; E400s 19275/86-88 Ashton-Hyde Road and E400 Hybrids 12117-26 from Hyde Road to Ashton.
Stagecoach East has transferred six Dart SLFs from Peterborough to Fenstanton - 34532/33/45/35/36/37/38. They join 34526/30 which are already at Fenstanton. Fleet Ramblings also understands that the six additional Scania N230UD/ADL Enviro 400s for the Cambridgeshire Busway are now receiving pre-delivery inspections with Scania and are likely to be delivered to Fenstanton depot next month. Former Fenstanton Dart SLFs 34439/40/41/42/43/44 have been taken out of service pending re-allocation within Stagecoach - look out for some or all of them moving to Stagecoach South East.
East Yorkshire Motor Services advises that the latest vehicles through the paintshop are 344 and 356. It also advises that two Scania K360EB4 coaches will arrive on loan to the East Yorkshire Coaches operation later this wek. They will be numbered 132 and 133 and are registered YT10WLE/F.
The allocation of new Scania/Enviro 400s (15190-95) and E20D/Enviro 200 (37181-86) saloons to Stagecoach Yorkshire at Chesterfield has set in place a cascade effect that has allowed the oldest MAN/ALX300 saloons to be taken out of frontline service at Barnsley. Into the Reserve Fleet are 22115/26, 22203/07/09/13, 22913/14/18/19/23/28/29/30/31/35/38 with 22915 moving to Ecclesfield. In their place at Barnsley are Scania/East Lancs 15411; MAN/Enviro 300 22650/51/52/53/54 and Dart SLFs 34581/82/84, 34721/22/23 - all transferred from Chesterfield. Also allocated to Barnsley is ex-Stagecoach London Dart SLF 34364.
Stagecoach Yorkshire has also received two Dennis Tridents with Alexander ALX400 bodywork from Stagecoach London - 17562 and 17569. Both will receive single door conversion before entering service.
