News from Stagecoach South West includes several internal transfers with 15868 moving from Barnstaple to Exeter, 17055 from Barnstaple to Plymouth and 17056 from Torquay to Plymouth with 10864/65 transferring from Exeter to Barnstaple and 18067 from Exeter to Torquay. The recent transfer of three Optare Versas to Stagecoach West has seen them replaced by Dart SLFs 34729 at Chard and 34776/77 at Barnstaple. Only four Dart SLFs were transferred to this fleet from Stagecoach Manchester with 33865 going to Plymouth and the other three, 33870/74/76, being allocated to Exeter. The planned allocation of Optare Solo 47085 to Plymouth did not take place and it remains in the Reserve Fleet with 47576 taking its place at Plymouth.
At Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire, ADL E40D/Enviro 400 demonstrator 80027, which is fitted with stop/start technology and carries Stagecoach corporate livery, has been returned to ADL. Vehicles returned to service at Birkenhead are 17111/13  and 18149. Enviro 400 19062 has transferred from Birkenhead to Chester. Dart SLF 34743 has transferred from Chorley to Gillmoss and Optare Solos 47336/37 have moved form Chorley to Preston with 47709 moving from the main fleet at Preston into the Reserve Fleet. Preston has also received Dart SLF 34741 from Chester. 34742 from Chester is now at Birkenhead along with 34599 from the Reserve Fleet. Tridents 17019/21, 17448, 17549  are now allocated to Gillmoss along with 17452/99 and 17500 which are on loan from Stagecoach Manchester. Training fleet Volvo B10M 20602 has been taken out of use and is now for disposal, whilst placed into the Reserve Fleet at Birkenhead are Volvo B10BLEs 21116/19/22.
At Stagecoach Manchester Dart SLFs 33871/73/75 have surprisingly been reported as being returned to service at Ashton. We are frequently asked why vehicles in the Stagecoach Reserve Fleets are often seen in regular service. The Reserve Fleet provides depots with a number of vehicles which, whilst not part of the depot allocation, are available for service. Their use may be to cover other vehicles which are off the road for repairs, repainting or maintenance inspections. It is not uncommon for them to be used on a regular basis.

Following the plan to cascade several MAN/ALX300s from Stagecoach Yorkshire to Stagecoach East Midlands being cancelled 22083 and 22085 are now in service with Stagecoach Yorkshire at Barnsley, allowing further MAN/East Lancs vehicles to be stood down with 39621/24/27/29/30/31 all now in the Reserve Fleet. Dart SLF 35116 has transferred from Rawmarsh to Holbrook which has allowed DAF SLF 26127 to be withdrawn for disposal. Former Stagecoach Oxfordshire MAN/ALX300 22771 is now in service at Rawmarsh. Several vehicles have been sold including MAN/ALX300s 22934/40; Dart SLFs 33096/97, 33237; Dart SPDs 33401-03 and Volvo B10M 52380.
At Stagecoach Manchester the remaining two Tridents at Ashton have been transferred out - 17200 to Middleton and 17202 to the Reserve Fleet. MAN/ALX300 22219 has been taken out of service for disposal at Middleton, whilst Plaxton Primo 49894 is the third of the batch to go into the Reserve Fleet. Sharston’s Enviro 400s 19276/77 have transferred to Ashton and Hyde Road respectively, whilst similar 19082/84 have transferred from Stockport to Wigan. Trident 17618 has transferred from Hyde Road to the Reserve Fleet. Former Reserve Fleet vehicles 22243, 22819 and 33868 are now for disposal, whilst MAN/ALX300s sold to PVS are 22189, 22217/23/29/33/35/36. A re-allocation of Tridents has seen 17507/16/19/20/21/35/61, 17698/99 and 18290 now being based at Hyde Road and 17641/44/45/57/65 are at Sharston.
Stagecoach East has now withdrawn all five remaining Volvo B10BLEs for disposal – 21160/62/63 were previously in the Reserve Fleet at Bedford and 21165/66 in the Reserve Fleet at Fenstanton. Now transferred to the Reserve Fleet are Optare Solos 47435/36/37.
The arrival at Stagecoach South of Tridents from Stagecoach West, along with a reduction in fleet requirements has seen a large number of Volvo Olympians taken out of frontline service and placed into the Reserve Fleet here including 16262/68/82/91/95, 16523/24/25, 16590, 16629/31/32/33 and 16756. Additionally 16312 is withdrawn from Chichester for disposal but has been replaced by 16261 transferred from Aldershot. Allocation of Tridents has seen 18376/77/79/86/87, 18443 allocated to Aldershot and 18438/39 to Guildford. 18502/24 have transferred from Andover to Winchester. The return to service, after repair, at Aldershot of Optare Solo 47543 has seen 47307 transfer to Guildford. Allocation of Dart SLFs has seen 34514 and 34629/30/37 allocated to Aldershot and 34566 and 34608 to Guildford, with 34615 now at Portsmouth. Withdrawn from Winchester for disposal is Volvo B10M (Bus) 20228.
At Stagecoach South East several Dart SLFs have been re-allocated with 34412 now at Ashford and 34541/43/44 now at Herne Bay/Canterbury. Now in service at Folkestone are Scania/E400s 15436-39 where were recently transferred from Stagecoach Oxfordshire. Volvo Olympians on the move are 16506 from Herne Bay to Folkestone and 16507/09 from Herne Bay to Thanet. The transfer of Volvo B10Ms 20675, 20832 and 20955 from Dover to the Reserve Fleet leaves just 20654 of the type in the main fleet at Dover. Similarly at Thanet 20008, 20312 and 20642 are withdrawn for disposal leaving just 20011 and 20956 of the type in the operational fleet. In other Olympian news 16270 (Thanet) and 16388 (Hastings) are now withdrawn with 16380 transferring from Thanet to Hastings. Tridents 18163/67 are transferred from Herne Bay to Thanet and Enviro 400s 19005/59 from Folkestone to Dover. Stagecoach South Wales has put Reserve Fleet Dart SLF back into service at Aberdare and transferred Optare Solo 47348 from Porth to Cwmbran. Volvo B10M 20685 has been taken out of frontline use at Blackwood and transferred to the Reserve Fleet. Blackwood has transferred Volvo B10BLE 21138 to Cwmbran in exchange for Volvo B10B 21028.
At Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire Optare Solo 47009 is now at Barrow. Dart SLF 34712 at Kendall is undergoing repairs as is Optare Solo 47059 from West Cumbria. The remains of Dart SLF 34589 have been scrapped. As the peak supper season comes to an end Open Top Volvo Olympian 16534 and Open Top Trident 17217 have been transferred to the reserve fleet at Carlisle.
We have had confirmation from Stagecoach East that the ten Volvo B7R/Wright Eclipse Urban saloons that will be displaced from Busway work when the new Volvo B8Rs enter service later this year will be transferred to Cambridge. They will work alongside the former Busway Scania/Enviro 400s on Ely/Newmarket services which required six single decks and we are predicting that they could also see use on the Haverhill route, which currently requires one MAN/ALX300 on weekdays and the 26 route to Royston which requires three vehicles. Their cascade will release MAN/ALX300s which are likely to be transferred elsewhere within Stagecoach.
At Stagecoach East Midlands we are advised that coach 53030 has now received Rail Replacement livery, whilst Scania/Enviro 400s 15507/09 are in the latest Interconnect livery.

Our friends at Andy's Bus Blog have confirmed that two Tridents from the Stagecoach East Reserve Fleet, 18348 and 18349, have now arrived in King's Lynn for service with the former Norfolk Green operation. As we revealed several weeks ago the allocation of Tridents from the main Stagecoach East fleet to King's Lynn is expected to be temporary and will allow replacement of non-standard Optare Spectras.

Former Stagecoach East Cambridge Busway Scania/Enviro 400 15461 has been repainted in all-over dark green (Biobus) colour and is now allocated to Cambridge for Ely/Newmarket services. There has been considerable online discussion on the colour scheme for these vehicles. Stagecoach has agreed that the livery for its Busway operation is blue/green or green and it is believed this is a requirement of the County Council. By painting these ex-Busway vehicles in all-over green, as opposed to corporate Stagecoach livery, will allow their use in the future on the Busway if there is a Busway vehicle off the road, or if there is a short term requirement to increase Busway services.
Stagecoach East Midlands has painted Grimsby-allocated ADL E20D/Enviro 200s 37190/91 in a pink-based Europarc livery. At Hull the new Simplibus branding is carried on numerous MAN and ADL E30D vehicles and the previous Frequento branding has been removed from vehicles, although there are some distinct signs of where it was previously carried.
Regular correspondents Dave Russell & Deric Pemberton advise at Stagecoach West that recently-acquired Optare Versas 25233/56/57/58 are now allocated to Gloucester, with 25231/32 at Ross on Wye. Similar 25229 has transferred from Ross to Gloucester. Scania/Enviro 400 15451 is now at Gloucester, being exchanged with Ross on Wye for 15875. Former Merseyside Dart SLF 34597 is at Swindon and 34596 at Stroud. Dart SLFs 33972/96 have been sold and are no longer part of the fleet, however, Reserve Fleet 33957/58 are now awaiting disposal. Branding for Gloucester service 12 is now carried by Enviro 200s 37320-22.
At East Yorkshire Motor Services ADL Enviro 400MMC demonstrator 794 has arrived and is now painted in EYMS livery with X46 branding. Also now with a new purple/ivory livery and service 101/105 branding is 768.
There has been a lot of changes at Stagecoach North East in the last month, which has also seen six Dart SLFs leave the fleet - 34607 joining already reported 34612/14 at Stagecoach South West and 34566, 34608/15 have transferred to Stagecoach South. Dart SLFs 35155/57/58 have transferred from Sunderland, where they were the last Dart SLFs on the allocation, to Hartlepool. Hartlepool has also received MAN/Enviro 200s 39710-14 from South Shields. Walkergate has received Enviro 400s 19196/97 from South Shields along Reserve Fleet 19647. Now allocated to South Shields are Enviro 400s 19641/43-46. The allocation of new Enviro 300s to Stockton has seen the transfer of MAN/ALX300s 22202/04/10/11 and 22674 to the Reserve Fleet, whilst 22469/71/75 are now for disposal. Also for disposal, having previously been in the Reserve Fleet are Dart SLF 34401 and MAN/ALX300 22734 from the Reserve Fleet are also now for disposal. Also for disposal is MAN/ALX300 22666 from the Training fleet.

The next two Volvo Olympians to be taken out of service are expected to be 16462/69.
As expected Stagecoach East Optare Solo 47659 is now in use from Ely on service 15 (Ely Town).

Delaine Buses have confirmed that ex-Dublin Volvo B7TL 161 is due to be sent away for repaneling and repaint tomorrow, so will not have been used in its Dublin livery. Similar 160 is yet to enter service.

News reaches us that the first six, of 14, Optare Solo SRs to 'Gold' specification have arrived at Stagecoach Midlands' Leamington garage this morning. The vehicles will be numbered 47967-80. Information updated on September 7th 2015 at 15:10
Look out for Stagecoach East moving Optare Solo 47659 from Bedford to Cambridge and outbasing it at Ely depot for the Ely Town Service, replacing an Enviro 200 on the route. Besides the Megadekka seeing use at Bedford, also in regular use here are a couple of the former Cavalier Wright-bodied Volvo B10BLEs. The open top Bristol FLF is reported to have returned to Peterborough and will be attending this year's Showbus Rally at Woburn Abbey on Sunday September 20th.

We have received confirmation that Stagecoach West Scotland Volvo Olympians 16728 16852/854 have been sold to E&M Horsburgh, Livingston.
Despite being officially recorded by Stagecoach East Midlands as awaiting conversion to a training vehicle, MAN/ALX300 22658 is still being used in service from Lincoln depot.
A shortage of service able coaches for the X5 Cambridge-Oxford has seen Stagecoach East using both coaches from the 99 Milton Keynes-Luton Airport and ADL Enviro 400s on the service during the last week. A knock-on effect is the reported use of the Leyland Olympian Megadekka 14000 in use on local service in Bedford.
