We have been advised that the three Tridents booked to move from Stagecoach West to Stagecoach South will be allocated to Basingstoke depot and are being exchanged for three Dart SLFs. Identities of the Tridents and Darts are still awaited.
![]() The first two double decks to go to Norfolk Green on loan arrived yesterday, reports Andy's Bus Blog, and are Volvo Olympians from Stagecoach East at Bedford. 16226 is in corprate Stagecoach livery, whilst 16227 wears the blue version of the Harpur Trust schools livery and carries Biggleswade & District schools branding. A further four vehicles are expected to arrive at King's Lynn over the weekend. Route 36 branding applied to a handful of MAN/Enviro 300 saloons with Stagecoach North East at Stockton is being removed on repaint. Already repainted are 24102 and 24105 with 24104 next in the paintshop. Former Stagecoach West Tridents 18127/28 have now arrived at Stagecoach Midland's Corby depot, where they are being prepared for service. Expect them to replace Olympians 16162 and 16684. East Yorkshire Motor Services has unveiled its recently-bought Bristol Lodekka 645 at its Big Bus Day in Hull today. It has been painted in the company's coaching colours of Primrose and Riviera Blue and has added silver relief. Also on display at the event is Volvo B7TL 592 which has been painted into a commemorative World War One 'Poppy' livery. There are suggestions that three Stagecoach West Tridents could be heading to Stagecoach South. Look out for Delaine Buses' latest Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini entering service next week. Carrying fleet number 157 it is registered AD64DBL We have received reports that at least one of the Stagecoach East Reserve Volvo Olympians - 16226 - continues to be used in service at Bedford, along with at least one of the Wright-bodied Volvo B10Bs.
Look out for at least six double decks turning up on loan to Norfolk Green in the next week as temporary cover until a fleet of six ex-London Tridents 17742-44 and 17785-87 are released from Bus & Coach World at Blackburn after coversion to single door and repaint. The Agoraline replacements here are expected to be Enviro 300s 27642-47, which are currently operating with Stagecoach South. East Yorkshire Motor Services 746 has received a promotional livery for Hymers College, an Independent Day School in Hull.
Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire has put Open Top Volvo Olympian 16534 into service from Carlisle - it was out on service 78 on Bank Holiday Monday. Look out for Stagecoach East Midlands Enviro 300 saloons 27880-82 re-entering service next month in a special aquamarine-based livery for the Hull Park & Ride service. Norfolk Green has confirmed that Dart SLF/Pointer 33382 is still part of its fleet at King's Lynn and has not been returned to Stagecoach South. It is currentloy part of the Reserve Fleet.
Six Agoralines remain in service at King's Lynn, although these are expected to be replaced with cascaded Enviro 300 saloons during October/November Stagecoach East has taken all of its remaining Volvo Olympians out of service at Bedford and placed them into the Reserve Fleet. It is not known if this is for the school holiday period, or is permament. Vehicles involved are 16224, 16225, 16226, 16227, 15592 and 16593. Also placed into the Reserve fleet are MAN/ALX300 22332 and Volvo B10M 70-seat School Bus 52155. Peterborough continues to use Reserve Fleet Tridents 18417 and 18418 which initially came on loan whilst Enviro 400s 10010/11 were away in Glasgow at the Commonwealth Games.
Stagecoach East has confirmed that it expects to receive its new ADL E20D/ADL Enviro 200s in November and December. 37210-15 are for Cambridge (Uni4 service) and 37216-35 are for Peterborough for Citi2/3 services. The Cambridge buses will enter service in November and the Peterborough ones in December. Many of the displaced Pointer-bodied Dart SLFs from Peterborough are expected to be transferred to Stagecoach South East.
Due imminently at Stagecoach Oxford are three more Scania N230UD/ADL Enviro 400s - 15994-96 will be registered YN64XSY/Z, YN64XTA. Due in September for Stagecoach East Midlands at Grimsby will be Scania N230UD/ADL Enviro 400s 15175-79, which should receive registrations YN64XTB/D/E, ADY/Z. Three Optare Solos - 47243-45 are due to transfer from Stagecoach South to Norfolk Green and are expacted to displace Solos 47881/83/84, which could be heading for Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire. 47244 arrived at Norfolk Green on 21st August. The Volvo B10M - 52644 - transferred from Stagecoach East at Bedford to Stagecoach South East last month as a driver trainer - has now been allocated to Dover. Stagecoach Midlands has received two ALX400 Tridents from Stagecoach West. They will be allocated to Corby depot as Volvo Olympian replacements, which will almost certainly see 16684 withdrawn. They have been exchanged for two Dart SLFs - 34495 and 34588 - which are in the Reserve Fleet and based at Swindon. Completion of engine repairs on Stagecoach Midland's Trident 17060 at Kettering has seen Olympian 16459 placed into the Reserve fleet. Dart SLF's 33397 and 34119 which are on loan to Stagecoach in Cumbria & North Lancashire are now regarded by ScCNL as permanent additions to their fleet. Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire is due to receive two ADL E30D/ADL Enviro 300s in early September. 27141/42 are for Carlisle and will be used on the 685 service. |
