Stagecoach South Wales… Megabus livery has now been applied to Astromegas 50204 and 50222. Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire… Volvo Olympians 16660/67 are now confirmed as at West Cumbria for component recovery. MAN/ALX300 22116 has been sold to Wigley (dealer) and MAN/Enviro 300 22611 is now in the paint shop and will be allocated to Morecambe on release. Stagecoach West… Stroud has been using Reserve Fleet Volvo Olympians 16099 and 16128 on service recently. Stagecoach East… An unidentified Trident has been acquired for spares and is at Bedford depot. The company has confirmed that the first Enviro 200MMCs for the Coasthopper route (allocated to King's Lynn) will enter service on Sunday May 1st 2016. Stagecoach Midlands… Trident LK03CEY has been acquired for spares and is at Leamington garage. They are for service 33 and are due for delivery in October 2016. Stagecoach East Midlands… Stagecoach East Midlands has confirmed that the Marie Curie Daffodil Appeal-liveries Scania/Enviro 400 15653 will move to Scunthorpe on April 24th. Stagecoach East… Blink and you missed it! Stagecoach East took one of its new Coasthopper-liveries Enviro 200MMCs (37434) along the North Norfolk coast between Wells-next-the-Sea and Hunstanton/King’s Lynn yesterday. After the photo session the bus returned to Fenstanton depot where it is being prepared for service before the fleet of nine enter service on Coasthopper routes next month. Stagecoach South East… Another Trident to arrive here from Stagecoach Manchester is 17668. Stagecoach East… ADL E20D/Enviro 200 37228 is back in service at Peterborough following front end rebuilding after sustaining severe collision damage in December last year. Enviro 400-bodied Scania 15456 has had guide wheels re-fitted and has been transferred from Cambridge to Fenstanton for Cambridge Busway use. Stagecoach West... Repairs to Trident 18192 at Bulwark Engineering have been completed and it has been returned to Gloucester for repaint and preparation for re-entry into service. East Yorkshire Motor Services… Sold are Dart SLFs 477 and 487 along with Volvo B10M/Alexander PS training bus 9910. Stagecoach East Midlands… The company has confirmed that Trident 17362 (now at Hull from Stagecoach London) and Optare Solo (due at Scunthorpe from Stagecoach Midlands) are for component recovery only. Also here from Stagecoach Midlands are former Megabus Volvo B12Bs 54051/52/55 which have been allocated to the Rail Replacement Unit at Lincoln displacing Volvo B7Rs 53210/13/16 which will now be converted to driver training vehicles. The plan to convert MAN/ALX300s 22110/88 to training vehicles has now been cancelled and both vehicles are for disposal. Tridents 17649 and 18283 have now been sold. Stagecoach Yorkshire… Trade Press reports have confirmed that a dedicated driver training school is being established at Rawmarsh, where all driver training vehicles will be based. Stagecoach East… The first deliveries from the 2016/17 order include nine 10.8m ADL E20D/Enviro 200MMCs for King’s Lynn and will be painted into Coasthopper colours. The batch will be numbered 37431-39 and the first of the batch 37431 is expected to arrive at Ely depot today for service preparation work before being moved to King’s Lynn.  Information uploaded on April 11th 2016 at 14:00 Stagecoach South East… Placed into service here from today are the first 13 of a batch of 30 Scania/Enviro 400MMCs. The buses represent £2.6 million of investment and are fitted with air chill, WiFi and USB charging points. They are allocated to Thanet are are for the Breeze (8, 8A, 8X) services which link Broadstairs with Margate and Canterbury. Breeze branding is carried. A further two Tridents have arrived here from Stagecoach Manchester - 17659 and 17662. Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire… The beginning of the end for the remaining Volvo Olympians has arrived with 16667 (from Morecambe) now at West Cumbria for component recovery with 16642 also being stripped for spares at Morecambe. It is expected that two Tridents will be transferred from Stagecoach South West for component recovery whilst a re-allocation of MAN/Enviro 300s and ADL Enviro 300s is expected to take place in the next few weeks. Stagecoach East… The two open top Tridents in the Seasonal Reserve Fleet, 17078 and 17079, have returned to service at Cambridge, whilst the final open top Volvo Olympian in the fleet, 16541, has been sold. Stagecoach West Scotland… One of the Tridents due to be cascaded from Stagecoach South West to Stagecoach East Scotland has turned up here. 17707 is at Ardrossan where it has been put into service as a replacement for Scania/Enviro 400 15634 which is currently receiving repairs. Fully refurbished and repainted MAN/ALX300 22389 is now back in service here and allocated to Dumfries. Also at Dumfries is council-owned Optare Solo 47746, which carries SWSTrans green and purple livery. Optare Solo 47003 is now in the Reserve Fleet (at Kilmarnock) with 47359 transferring from Dumfries to Stranraer allowing 47434 to move from Stranraer to the Reserve Fleet and is parked up at Ayr.

Stagecoach UK Bus has confirmed its new vehicle orders for 2016/17. Of note is the lack of any Scania chassis and also the lack of any Enviro 300 bodies. The single-deck requirement being met with the longer Enviro 200MMCs. Also of note is the inclusion of 30 Mercedes Benz Sprinter City 45 minibuses. The only fleet change in the last month at Stagecoach North East is the movement of Reserve Fleet MAN/ALX300 22014 from Walkergate to Stockton. Further Walkergate Enviro 400s to be fitted with WiFi are 19379-89 and 19430-35/37. Stagecoach East Scotland has received Tridents 17702/03/05/06/07 from Stagecoach South West. They are all in the Reserve fleet with 17702/07 at Aberhill and 17703/05/06 at Rennies. Optare Solo 47051 is transferred to the Reserve Fleet from St Andrews whilst Volvo B12B 53108 has been received from Stagecoach North Scotland and is in the Reserve Fleet having been exchanged for 54047. Mercedes Vito 60014 has been scrapped and Mercedes Vario 42238 is nor for disposal. Volvo B10M 52420 has now left the fleet. Information updated on April 8th 2016 at 11:15 News from Stagecoach South West is the cascade of Tridents 17289/90 to Stagecoach Highlands, although the expected cascade of 17708 to Stagecoach East Scotland appears to have been cancelled as it is now part of the Reserve Fleet. Trident 17053 is withdrawn from service at Chard and is now for disposal, being replaced at Chard with 17734 from Barnstaple, whilst open top Trident 17701 is back in service for the Summer season at Exmouth. 18062/63 have moved from Exmouth to Exeter being replaced with 17735/36 from Barnstaple whilst 18065/66 have also moved to Exeter (from Barnstaple). Replacements at Barnstaple are Enviro 400s 19065/93/94/95 from Exeter. Reserve Fleet darts 33865 and 34406 are back in use at Plymouth with 34729 at Barnstaple. Stagecoach London has taken Enviro 400 10194 out of service after it suffered extensive fire damage. Tridents 18237/43 are reported by the company as having return from loan to Tower Transit and are now allocated to Romford, whilst 17396 has transferred from Rainham to West Ham. Dart SLFs 34360/87 are for disposal with 34366 sold to S Boxall. Tridents 17950/86/87 has been returned off-lease to Lombard/Santander whilst Trident 17362 has been transferred to Stagecoach East Midlands for spares/component recovery at Hull. Information updated on April 7th 2016 at 15:35 Stagecoach Midlands has confirmed that former Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire Dart SLF 34817 has been allocated to Rugby allowing MAN/ALX300 to be transferred to the Reserve Fleet, leaving just one MAN/ALX300 in the main operational fleet - 22376 at Rugby. Reserve Fleet Optare Solo 47012 is reported to be in temporary use as a staff shuttle at Stratford, whilst Volvo B12M 52039 has transferred to Stagecoach East Scotland. Stagecoach South has confirmed the receipt of Volvo B9R/Plaxton Panther 53610 from Stagecoach West. It will be used as a training vehicle at Portsmouth and is also expected to be available for Rail Replacement duties. Also received by Stagecoach South are Dennis Tridents/TranBus President LK03GJU/NKW from Ensign Bus for component recovery. Sold to T. Wigley are Volvo Olympians 16278 and 16748. Re-allocations are Enviro 200s 36018/19 from Aldershot to Basingstoke, displacing Enviro 300s 27835/36 to Winchester. Reserve Fleet Dart 35257 is back in service at Andover with 34602 moving to the Reserve Fleet, whilst also moving from the Reserve Fleet is Dart SLF 34453 which is now allocated to Guildford. There have been numerous fleet changes at Stagecoach Manchester with Tridents 17656/57/59-69 now in the Reserve Fleet, along with 17634 already in Reserve they are expected to be cascaded to other companies with Stagecoach South East expecting at least four more of the type and provisional plans were in place last year for some to transfer to Stagecoach South. The two Plaxton Centros 26130/31 and the remaining three Plaxton Primos at Middleton - 49891-93 - have been transferred to the Reserve Fleet with replacements being reported as MAN/ALX300s 22325/26 and Optare Solos 47768/74/74. Reserve Fleet Trident 17500 is allocated to Hyde Road, in exchange for 17497. Reallocations of Enviro 400s reported is: To Ashton: 19083, 19275/76/81. To Sharston: 19165/78/79/83/84/85/86/88/89/90/91/99 and 19228. Dart SLF 33868 remains shown by the company as awaiting disposal, whilst sold to PVS are MAN/ALX300s 22219/21/41 and 22808. |
