We can now confirm that the transfer of Optare Solo 47306 from Stagecoach South to the Norfolk Green fleet at King's Lynn is a permanent transfer, rather than a loan.
Stagecoach East has put Reserve Fleet MAN/ALX300 22336 back into regular service at Peterborough. Several vehicles from the Reserve Fleet at Stagecoach West have been sold and we will have full details of these next week. Also at Stagecoach West Tridents 18086 along with 18312/13/21 have received branding for service 63. Gold-spec Scania/E400 15841 has lost its branding for service 10. Note that the new updates to the Allocation Supplements will start next week as Stagecoach accounting is currently on a five week period, rather than the normal four. Our friends at Andy’s Bus Blog report that Stagecoach South Optare Solo 47306 has been transferred to the Norfolk Green and is already in service from King’s Lynn. We are attempting to establish if this is a transfer or a loan.
The Stagecoach in Hastings Bus Enthusiast Group (SiHBEG) has reported that at Stagecoach South East Hastings now has two MAN/ALX300s on its fleet strength - 22009/57 have transferred from Herne Bay. However, five Dart SLFs, 34438/42 and 34542/46/47, have left the Hastings fleet and are now allocated to Herne Bay with one more to follow. Dave Russell & Deric Pemberton advise that Volvo Olympian 16129 is not a loan to Stagecoach South from the Stagecoach West fleet but is a permanent transfer We are anticipating a large number of vehicle transfers within Stagecoach South East in the next few days and will bring details of these as soon as they are confirmed.
Save Russell & Deric Pemberton have confirmed that Volvo Olympian 16129 is a permanent transfer from Stagecoach West to Stagecoach South. With effect from May 1st the Norfolk Green operation will become part of Stagecoach East which operates services across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. See Steven Knight Media Blog for more information but Stagecoach has confirmed that the Norfolk Green livery and Stagecoach variation will be swept aside for standard Stagecoach corporate livery.. It will trade under the Stagecoach Norfolk name.
The repainting of the Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire fleet Barrow-allocated Optare Solos in the latest Solo livery is almost complete with just 47141/45/48 to do. At Stagecoach West we have been advised that Scania/Enviro 15841 is now operating from Swindon, with Gloucester receiving 15968 in exchange. At Stagecoach South East Trident 18169 has moved to Thanet from Herne Bay, whilst two Alexander ALX400 Dennis Tridents, 17624/27, have been received from Stagecoach Manchester where they have recently been displaced from Magicbus duties. It has been a quiet week with little fleet information reaching us. However, we have been advised that Stagecoach West Volvo Olympian 16129, which is part of the Races Reserve fleet kept at Stroud, was at Stagecoach South’s Winchester depot last weekend. News from Stagecoach South is the disposal of Volvo Olympian 16306 and Dart SLFs 33026 and 34373 to dealer Trevor Wigley and Optare Solo 47047 to Ensign Bus. At Portsmouth Optare Solos 47542 and 47543 are out of service for repairs and Winchester-allocated Volvo Olympian 16303 is now in the reserve fleet.
Stagecoach Yorkshire has transferred East Lancs-bodied Scania 15415 from Ecclesfield to Barnsley following the entry into service of Trident 17569 at Ecclesfield. Ecclesfield has also received Optare Solo 47756 from Chesterfield and MAN/ALX300 22811 from Barnsley. ALX300/MAN has also been transferred from Holbrook to Barnsley and Barnsley’s 22930 is now awaiting disposal. Dart 34361 is now in service at Rawmarsh where it has replaced 33235 which is for disposal.
The Stagecoach West Scotland fleet on Arran has been upgraded with the allocation of Write Streetlites 39001-08 and Optare Solo SRs 47934-37. They have replaced Volvo B10Ms 20522/24/26/37/38/39/95, Mercedes 709Ds 40098, 40624/30 and Optare Solos 47496 and 47505. The Volvo B10Ms have been sold and the Mercedes 709D will become staff shuttle vehicles at Glasgow, Dumfries and Ardrossan. The two Optare Solos are transferred to the reserve fleet along with 47627 from Glasgow. Trident 18003 is back in service at Ayr. New Enviro 200 is allocated to Kilmarnock. Also out of service is Volvo B10M training coach 52026 and Optare Versa 25221. News from Stagecoach London is the sale of Tridents 17441/45/66 and 17505/06 to Lister PSV and 17794 has been disposed of to Sandringham School. Stagecoach East Midlands has temporarily transferred Volvo Olympian 16131 from Lincoln to Grimsby for the Cleethorpes seafront service. Further information on the Stagecoach South East fleet is that Dart SLF 34410 is now in service at Thanet, which has allowed Optare Solo 47561 to be taken out of service for return to Kent County Council. A further Dart SLF reported in service is 34442 at Hastings. None of the recently transferred ex Stagecoach London Tridents are in service here.
Stagecoach East Scotland has transferred Volvo Olympian 16075 to the reserve fleet with an engine defect and its replacement in the main fleet at Perth is 16229. Dart SLF 34486 is transferred from Dunfermline to Aberhill, whilst it is reported that 33308 could be heading on transfer elsewhere within Stagecoach. Optare Solo 47053 is transferred from Perth to the reserve fleet. Look out for MAN/Enviro 300s 22571/75/77 arriving with Stagecoach East Midlands on transfer from Stagecoach East Scotland. Stagecoach South East has transferred Volvo Olympian 16344 from Hastings to Thanet as a replacement for Trident 2/Enviro 400 19051, which is away on loan to Stagecoach Yorkshire, and has returned 16382 from the reserve fleet to the main fleet at Dover. Optare Solo 47173 transfers from Thanet to Dover, where it has replaced accident damaged 47379, which is now for disposal. Thanet’s 47560 is also now out of service awaiting return to Kent County Council. Volvo B10M 20642 is back in service at Thanet having replaced 20010, which is now for disposal. Another Volvo B10M for disposal is 20007 from Dover, whilst 20648 has joined the Reserve Fleet at Hastings. Two more of the ex Stagecoach East Dart SLFs to enter service at Thanet are 34411 and 34548. Trident 2/Enviro 400 19053 transfers from Eastbourne to Hastings with former Stagecoach South Optare Solo 47067 joining the Eastbourne allocation. Buses sold and no longer part of the fleet are Volvo Olympians 16013, 16360, 16739/74; Volvo B10Ms 20533, 20650/59 and Dart SLF 33319.
At Stagecoach Manchester Trident 2/Enviro 400s 19244-46/52/54/63, recently repainted in Magicbus colours, are now in service at Sharston, allowing Tridents 17067/68, 17614/15/22-24/27 to be placed into the reserve fleet. Optare Solo 47618 transfers from Stockport to Ashton with 47001 joining the reserve fleet. Dart SLFs 33100, 33856/60-64 have been sold to Ensign. Stagecoach Midlands has taken former Stagecoach London Dart SLF 34121 out of service at Corby and transferred it to the reserve fleet, it is replaced by 35177 which had been in the reserve fleet at Leamington. Trident 17212 has been allocated to Northampton whilst Corby has received Optare Solo 47015 as cover whilst its own 47050 receives accident repairs. With engine repairs completed on Rugby’s Solo 47038 it is back in service allowing Dart SLF 34491 to return to the reserve fleet. Stagecoach East is now showing both Mercedes 709D staff mess vehicles - 40182/83 - as being allocated to Bedford. The three Trident 2/Enviro 400s recently received from Stagecoach Manchester - 19017/47/68 - are all allocated to Cambridge. Stagecoach South West has put Dart SLF 34115, latterly used in the training fleet at Exeter, back into service at Barnstaple. It has been joined by Dart SLFs 34068/77 from the Reserve Fleet. Transferred from Torquay/Paignton to the Reserve Fleet are Dart SLF 34406 and Optare Solo 47104.
At Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire Trident 17021 is now allocated to Chorley, whilst 17455/70/79 have been allocated to Chester. Dart SLF 34680 has transferred from Chorley to Gillmoss. Back in service at Gillmoss is Enviro 300 27147 following completion of accident repairs. Also now allocated to Gillmoss are Dart SLFs 34599 and 34619 along with Optare Solo 47482. Leyland Olympian 14168 has been sold. |
