Repair work is currently underway on the vehicle at Paignton depot prior to it returning to service as an active member of the Stagecoach UK Bus Heritage Fleet. ![]() ✤Stagecoach East Bedford-based Volvo B10M training bus 52437 was observed in Peterborough this morning. We understand that one of the Coasthopper-liveried Optare Solo SRs, believed to be 48032, was in Bedford last week for testing around various routes suggesting that there may be a plan to transfer to Bedford some of the type that will be displaced upon the closure of the King’s Lynn depot at the end of April. Bedford currently has eight Optare Solos on its core fleet strength with a further example in the Reserve Fleet there with 11 Optare Solo SRs currently at King’s Lynn. A further Enviro 400 from the Peterborough allocation repainted and returned to service without application of logos or branding is 10010, which joins 10012 and 10013 in the same condition. Now at Fenstanton are Volvo B8RLE/Wright Eclipse Urban 3 saloons 21311/12 for use on the Cambridge Busway. Their ‘67’ plate registrations were cancelled and they are now registered BV18YCA/B. To recap the vehicles which have recently been reported on loan to Bedford are: Trident/ALX400 17484 (from Cambridge where it was for disposal) ADL Enviro 400 19706 (from Reserve Fleet at Peterborough) Dart SLF 34534 (from the main fleet at Fenstanton) Dart SLF 34537 (from the main fleet at Fenstanton) Dart SLF 34882 (from main fleet at Peterborough) MAN/ALX300 22333 (from the main Fleet at Peterborough) Optare Tempos and Optare Versas remain operational at King’s Lynn where yesterday Reserve Fleet Trident/ALX400 17787 was also observed in service, whilst some of the Coasthopper-liveried Enviro 200MMC fleet were working away from the coast with examples on town route 1, the 505 Spalding route and the 46 to March.

✤Stagecoach East Further vehicles reported on loan to Bedford are Dart SLFs 34534/37 from Fenstanton, which join Trident 17484 from Cambridge where it had been listed for disposal and from Peterborough Dart SLF 34882, Enviro 400 19706 and MAN/ALX300 22333. Stagecoach London Confirmed as converted to open top and painted in blue megasightseeing.com livery is Trident 18475. ✤Stagecoach Midlands The company has confirmed that it is to reduce its Corby depot to that of an outstation. The change, planned for May will see buses transferred to the Kettering depot. As an outstation Corby will operate routes 1 and 3, with other routes operated from Kettering. At the same time Stagecoach has announced that the 23/24 Peterborough-Lynch Wood-Oundle services will generally continue through to Corby which, with the hourly Stagecoach Gold X4 route will provide two buses and hour between Peterborough and Corby. Once the Corby-based Optare Solos are stood down, which is imminent, only the Scania double decks 15401-05 will carry the orange Corby Star livery and branding. ✤Stagecoach East The first of the Optare Solo SRs to lose Coasthopper livery is 48031 which is being repainted into corporate livery by Stagecoach Yorkshire at Chesterfield. Branding for the King’s Lynn-Hunstanton services has been removed from former Norfolk Green Enviro 400s 10052/53/54/55. Further vehicles on loan to Bedford are MAN/ALX300 22333 from Peterborough and surprisingly Trident 17484 which had been awaiting disposal at Cambridge. A further repaint for Peterborough is Enviro 400 10012. ✤Stagecoach West Scotland Former Megabus Van Hool Astromega 50239 has transferred here from Stagecoach South Wales at Cwmbran with 50235/36/37/40/43 expected to follow. ✤Stagecoach East Midlands Recent repaints, all in corporate livery, have been Tridents 18317/19, Enviro 400 19148 and Enviro 300 27641. A shortage of serviceable Plaxton elite coaches for the X5 Cambridge-Oxford service has seen the coaches concentrated on the Bedford-Oxford section of the route with Enviro 400s frequently being used on the section of route between Bedford and Cambridge. The three MAN/ALX300s, 22316/17/20 remain in service at Bedford and likewise 22329 at Peterborough. ✤Stagecoach East Midlands Grimsby-allocated Enviro 200 37190 is currently delicenced with Dart SLF 35144 from Skegness currently transferred to Grimsby to cover. Scania/Enviro 400s 15176 and 15179 are currently on loan to Hull from Grimsby and have both been used on the X62 service. ✤Stagecoach West
There have been a large number of fleet movements here following the entry into service of the Gold-spec Scania/Enviro 400MMCs, 15340-49, at Swindon with numerous Tridents being transferred into the Reserve Fleet. Now at Stroud are Scania/Enviro 400s 15730 and 15734 along with Gold-spec MAN/Enviro 300 22744 with Scania/Enviro 400s 15636-39/43 now allocated to Gloucester. ✤Stagecoach Midlands Gold-spec Enviro 200MMCs 26221/23/24 had not entered service at Nuneaton by last weekend which has resulted in MAN/Enviro 200s 39685/86 remaining in service at Nuneaton whilst also at the depot in the Reserve Fleet is 39683. All three are due to transfer to Kettering. The consequent re-allocations as a result of the entry into service of the Gold Enviro 200MMCs are still taking place but a couple of reported changes are the pending transfer of Dart SLFs 35180/81/82 from Leamington to Corby, rather than Rugby. ✤Stagecoach East Midlands Trident 17681 has been stood down at Mansfield and is now for disposal being replaced by 18121 transferred from Gainsborough. 18050 is relicensed and has returned to the main fleet at Gainsborough whilst 18025 has been sold. Over the next few weeks most of the seasonal reserve fleet will be returned to service at Lincoln (16943), Grimsby (16962/65) and Skegness (16904/05/06/07/10, 16964/66, 17673/75/76/77/78 and 19169). ✤Stagecoach Megabus Operations Volvo B9Rs 53604/05 at Hull (Stagecoach East Midlands) are now in the Reserve Fleet. ✤Stagecoach London The company has reported that Tridents 18467/71/73/74/75/77/82/96/97 are at ADL for refurbishment. It is expected that these vehicles, along with 18468 will be converted to open top. Other vehicles currently out of service for refurbishment are Enviro 400s 19745/72/86 and 19802; Scania 15038/39 and 15117; Enviro 200s 36342 and 36541. The company is no longer listing Volvo B12B coaches 54051/53/54/55, which had been at Plaxton, Anston, so they may have either been sold or absorbed into the main Stagecoach UK Bus fleet. Another Dart SLF swap has seen 34866 transferred from Exeter to Torquay in exchange for 35264. ✤Stagecoach North East Conversion of MAN/ALX300 22073 for driver training duties is now complete and it has been allocated to Sunderland. Meanwhile Volvo B10M training bus 20121 is now for disposal. ✤Stagecoach Bluebird Now on the books at Aberdeen are Optare Solo 47585 and Volvo B7R 53220. Also at Aberdeen and previously unreported by us is Enviro 400MMC 10895. Enviro 400 19373 has transferred from MacDuff to Peterhead whilst now at Peterhead is Volvo B7R 53335. Reserve Fleet Optare Solo 47162 has also returned to the main fleet at Peterhead. Now at Macduff are Volvo B9Rs 53268/31/35. Additional vehicles out of service and undergoing long-term repairs are Optare Solo 47569; Volvo B12B 53036; Enviro 200s 36046/66, Enviro 300s 27801/04 and Volvo B11 54248. Sold are Volvo Olympian 16111 and Volvo B7Rs 53221/23/42. ✤Stagecoach Scotland Confirmation on the current company allocation of Trident 18146 is sought. ✤Stagecoach East Scotland Volvo B12B 54074, which was for disposal here has been reported as being parked up at the Northampton depot of Stagecoach Midlands. Also now with Rennies are former Stagecoach South West 18071 and 18132/33 with 17703 and 18083 from Blargowrie. Volvo B7TL 16936 has returned to service at Arbroath as cover whilst the Volvo B5H/Enviro 400 fleet goes through a planned modification programme. Enviro 300 27599 has transferred from Perth to Blairgowrie in exchange for 27549. MAN/East Lancs 22503/06 are now in the training fleet with former Volvo B10M training coaches 52656/67 now for disposal. Also for disposal here are Tridents 17387/92, 17401/23/44 from the Rennies Fleet. Volvos 16960/63 have been sold to Connexions (Harrogate Coach Travel) with Tridents 17401/31/33 being sold to JMB Travel. Sold to Ferrymill Motors are Tridents 17293, 17383/93/94, 17408/30/32/53/69. The only operational MAN/ALX300s listed by the company are 22060 at Cambridge and 22331/33/34/36-40 at Peterborough. ✤Stagecoach East A surprising repaint here is former Norfolk Green East Lancs-bodied Trident 18278, which now joins sister 18280 in corporate livery. ✤Stagecoach South East Reserve Fleet Trident 17585 is now at Ashford and is understood to have been re-instated to the main fleet. ✤Stagecoach London Reports received suggest that Tridents 18468 and 18477 are being converted to open top. Also now in the Reserve Fleet from Plymouth is Optare Solo 47091. Transferred here from Stagecoach North East and allocated to Plymouth is Volvo B12B 54045. At Chichester Dart SLF 35120 is now in the Reserve Fleet whilst both 34454 and 34516 have recently been observed operating in service from Chichester. Scania/Enviro 400 15585 has transferred from Worthing to Portsmouth in exchange for 15601. ✤Stagecoach London We now have further information on the open top conversion to Tridents 18468/77. East London Bus & Coach, which trades as Stagecoach London has applied for a TfL tourist service permit under the megasightseeing.com name. Services would operate hourly from Tower Hill, Park Lane and Belvedere Road. Expect further Tridents here to become open top. ✤Stagecoach Yorkshire Scania/Enviro 400s 15644/45/46, received recently from Stagecoach West Scotland, are now allocated to Chesterfield. From Chesterfield Scania/East Lancs 15413 has been delicenced. Trident 18125 transferred to the Reserve Fleet. Also transferred from the main fleet to the Reserve Fleet at Chesterfield are Enviro 400s 19512/13 which are currently on loan from Chesterfield to Holbrook. MAN/ALX300 22440 is now delicenced whilst 22434 has transferred from Rawmarsh to the Reserve Fleet following completion of repairs on Dart SLF 35228. ✤Stagecoach East Midlands Simplibus branding has now been applied to Enviro 200MMC 37461. ✤Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire Enviro 400MMC 10014 has been despatched to Millbrook for external engine testing, however, it has also been reported as being used in service by Stagecoach Manchester. ✤Stagecoach Manchester Tridents 17497 and 17499, which were being prepared here to become driver training vehicles, are now for disposal. |
