We hear that Stagecoach Midlands Trident 18127 at Northampton has lost its Homesense advertising wrap and is now in fleet livery.
At Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire Enviro 200s 37121/22 have been temporarily transferred from Carlisle to Kendal for the service 555 Shuttle ousting Optare Solos 47474 and 47721 to Morecambe where they in turn have allowed MAM/Enviro 300s 22763 and 22889 to temporarily transfer to Carlisle which completes the vehicle merry-go-round. Also here Volvo Olympian 16639 is temporarily operating from West Cumbria, whilst loaned Ferrymill Motors Enviro 200 Fm36 was due to be returned yesterday. Optare Solo 47742 is in the Reserve Fleet at Carlisle.
Stagecoach East’s MAN/ALX300 22332 remains at Peterborough and yesterday was operating from March outstation on Whittlesey services.
At Stagecoach South East further Enviro 400s have received Eastbourne ‘One’ branding. Lou Phillips reports that 19648/51-56/59 now carry this branding. Stagecoach South East has now received Tridents 17632/33/35 from Stagecoach Manchester with current depot locations reported to be Thanet (17632), Hastings (17633) and Ashford (17635). There is speculation that they will replace 17691, 16380 and 16804. Delivery of the first Scania N250UD/Enviro 400MMCs here is imminent, with the first vehicles now complete. 15261-90 will be split between Herne Bay and Thanet and we understand the first five (15261-65) will be registered YN16WVB/C/D/E/F.

East Yorkshire Motor Services has transferred Volvo B9TLs 722/24/25/26 from Hull to Scarborough, whilst MAN/ALX300s 326-30 have returned to service at Hull. Dart SLF 470 is also back in service at Hull, with 477 being delicenced. Volvo B7TL 665 has transferred from Bridlington to Hull in exchange for Enviro 200 381.

The Stagecoach East Optare Solo that had been operating from Peterborough, 47341, has now returned to Bedford whilst we understand that MAN/ALX300 22332 which has also been operating from Peterborough is due to return to the Reserve Fleet at Cambridge and is likely to be stored at Ely.
Stagecoach East Midlands has confirmed that the Skegness Seasiders service will start on March 19th, with the open top Enviro 400, 19169, entering service at this time. It has assumed the identity of Rocky.
The Stagecoach East Volvo B8RLE damaged n the derailment on the Cambridgeshire Busway near Trumpington last Monday was 21307. A statement from the company says there was no fault with the bus or Busway infrastructure.
East Yorkshire Motor Services has confirmed that former Whittles National Express coaches FJ11GKA/GJX/GJY have been sold.

Look out for the next batch of Tridents transferring from Stagecoach Manchester to Stagecoach South East over the coming weekend - 17632/33/35 are the likely vehicles.
Stagecoach Midlands’ Corby-based Scania/East Lancs 15402, which is in unbranded Corby Star colours, was an unusual performer on at least one X4 working yesterday, normally a Kettering duty for a Stagecoach Gold Scania/Enviro 400.

We are able to confirm that two Optare Solos transferred to Stagecoach South Wales, 47238 from Stagecoach Oxfordshire and 47285 from Stagecoach Yorkshire, are at Bulwark Engineering for component recovery and the remains will then be disposed of.

Another Volvo Olympian has been taken out of service for disposal with Stagecoach East Midlands, with 16133 being replaced at Lincoln by Trident 18025 which has transferred from Hull. Also in back in service at Lincoln is open top Volvo B7TL 16943. The completion of the open top conversion work in Enviro 400 19169 is now complete and the vehicle has transferred to the Seasonal Reserve fleet at Skegness. Volvo B7RLE 21216 has returned to the Seasonal Reserve Fleet at Skegness after use at Grimsby, but has been replaced at Grimsby by 21214. MAN/Enviro 22782 is now in service at Hull, whilst following completion of repairs Enviro 200 37206 is back in service at Grimsby.
At Stagecoach Oxfordshire we are advised the that Optare Solo on loan here is providing cover whilst rectification work takes place on the Optare Solo SRs. Solo 47455 has remained at Banbury, although the S4Connect contract it was used on has now terminated. It is providing cover for the B7 route which is disrupted by major roadworks. Banbury’s Dart SLF 34469 is currently out of service undergoing major engine repairs, whilst most of the service 500 route branding has now been removed from Enviro 200 36448.
East Yorkshire Motor Services has advised that Dart SLF 476 has been sold.

We have been advised that Stagecoach East’s Bedford-allocated Leyland Megabus 14000 was working Route 9 From Bedford Bus Station yesterday morning. It was seen departing Bedford Bus Station at 09:55 this morning – so hot on the heels of news that Stagecoach Midlands’ Volvo Olympians were in service on Monday, obviously Bedford depot is short again in its operational fleet.

East Yorkshire Motor Services has confirmed that upon completion to driver training vehicles Volvo B7TL 646 will be numbered 9917 and 647 will become 9918. The new 9917 has already been painted into training livery.
The Wright Streetlite with Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire has been allocated fleet number 80029.
All four of Stagecoach Midlands’ Northampton-based Volvo Olympians 16694/6/8/9 were out yesterday (on the 17, not in service,7 and 16 when seen). 16459 which is in the Reserve Fleet was also in out on the 35, an unusual occurrence given it is school holidays.

Stagecoach South East eventually got ex Stagecoach Manchester Trident 17631 to Ashford on February 13th.
At Stagecoach Manchester new Enviro 400MMCs 10468/9/71/2 are now in service and also confirmed as delivered are 10475-82 which along with previously reported 10473/4 are at Hyde Road being prepared for service. A further repaint into Magicbus livery here is Enviro 400 19180.
At Stagecoach West Scotland we are advised 50207/12 on loan to Glasgow Depot for X25 services.
We have received more information on the Chinese New Year livery carried by Enviro 400 19328 at Stagecoach Manchester. It is basically in standard livery with blue replaced by red. There might be subtle elements of silver, but essentially its red, yellow and white, matching the colours which closely matches the livery of  Hainan Airlines (although this might be coincidence), who start direct services from Manchester to Beijing this Summer.
Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire has a Wright Streetlite on loan for three months. SK65PWV, which has been given a local fleet identity of W01 is currently on three months from Wight Bus for fuel comparison trials. It is fitted with a Euro 6 Mercedes-Benz engine and a Voith gearbox and will be used alongside the Optare Solo SRs on the City network. It is expected to be allocated a fleet number in the it has a 800xx fleet number series. Now working out Carlisle depot are MAN/Enviro 300s 22761 and 22764.
Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire has transferred Enviro 400 19040 from Gillmoss to Birkenhead, where it has displaced Trident 17745 to Chester. Dart SLF 34799 is back in service at Gillmoss but similar 34599 moves from Chester to the Reserve Fleet along with Optare Solos 47034/35. Now in service at Chester are Solos 47515/15/17. Volvo B10BLE 21123 has been sold whilst Volvo Olympian 16235 is now for disposal.
The Oxford & Chiltern Bus Page reports that Stagecoach Oxfordshire has an Optare Solo on loan, YJ61JHV, from Optare. In a grey and red livery it is being used on staff shuttle duties.

Stagecoach Manchester has repainted Enviro 400 19328 into a silver and red livery with branding for Chinese New Year/Year of the Monkey.
At Stagecoach Highlands Optare Solos 47232 and 47571 have moved from Inverness into the Reserve Fleet, whilst Inverness-based Reserve Enviro 200 36070 has transferred into the main fleet at Fort William. On the coaching side Thurso based 53621 is away at Ferrymill Motors for accident repairs and 54013 has been taken out of service at Caithness for return to the leasing company. 53282/89 are allocated to Aviemore and 53331 and 54062 to Caithness.
Stagecoach West has reduced the frequency of the Belles Express service from Gloucester but extended the route into the centre of Bristol. Revised branding has been applied to 53609.

Previously unreported is the withdrawal from service and return of the First Group vehicles loaned to Stagecoach South West for service at Plymouth.
We understand that Stagecoach South East are likely to take training vehicles 20614 and 52130 out of service in the near future.
Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire is due to receive Optare Solos 47001 and 47757 from Stagecoach Manchester on loan. They will replace 47473 and 47751 which are due to return off loan to Manchester.
Stagecoach East has sold Optare Spectras 13982-87, with the remaining three ex-Norfolk Green vehicles of the type, 13981/88/89 now awaiting disposal. Recently repainted MAN/ALX300 22329 is now in the Reserve Fleet at Cambridge.
There have been a number of changes at Stagecoach Yorkshire, which have seen MAN/Enviro 300s 22536/41/5158/59 and 22648 allocated to Barnsley. Trident/Enviro 400 19042 has transferred from Holbrook to Ecclesfield, whilst back in service at Ecclesfield is Scania/Enviro 400 15710. In exchange for 22648 which it has transferred to Barnsley, Chesterfield has received Dart SLF 34462. Withdrawn from service at Chesterfield and now for disposal are Optare Solos 47287/92, a similar fate befalling 47298 from Barnsley. Dart SLF 35116 has transferred from Rawmarsh to Barnsley. Withdrawn from training duties are Volvo B10M coaches 52407 and 52514. MAN/East Lancs 22512 is now in the Reserve Fleet at Barnsley. Several vehicles have been transferred into the Reserve Fleet but remain in use at depot on an ‘on loan’ basis. These are 22083 at Barnsley, 22087 at Ecclesfield, 22508-11 at Barnsley, 34460 at Chesterfield, 47282/89 at Barnsley and 39613/14/16/17 at Barnsley.
Stagecoach Midlands has allocated Reserve Fleet Dart SLF 34593 to Corby, ousting Optare Solo 47044 into the Reserve Fleet. Solos 47126/27 and 47409 have been transferred to the Reserve Fleet from Kettering and replaced by 47404/06/18. At Rugby Optare Solos 47030/39/42/43 are now all in the Reserve Fleet having been replaced by Dart SLFs 34491 and 34815/16/18 - this removed the Solo from the allocation at Rugby. MAN/ALX300 is stood down from service for conversion into a training vehicle. New Megabus Volvo B11Rs 55021/28 are now in service at Rugby, but Volvo B12Bs 54053/54/55 are now out of service. Volvo B12M 53029 is awaiting collection from Rugby by Stagecoach East Scotland, whilst Volvo B9Rs 53636-40/42-45 have transferred to Stagecoach North Scotland at Inverness. Now for disposal are Scania/Levante 59301/02/04/05 and Volvo B12B 54051-55 which are all stored off site at Plaxton’s Anston. Sold is Volvo Olympian 16683.
There have been a number of fleet changes reported at Stagecoach East Scotland with Enviro 400 10006 from Blairgowrie out of service with fire damage and similar 19896 from Arbroath out with collision damage. Glenrothes Volvo B12B 54075 also has collision damage. The remains of Trident 17746 have been donated to the Police. MAN/ALX300s sold are 22166 and 22259 to B. Devlin and 22233-68/76/77 to JMB Travel. Also sold is Mercedes Touro 59642 to Royjay Travel. Dunfermline’s Dart SLF 34598 is out of service undergoing engine repairs. Volvo B7R has transferred from Aberhill to Blairgowrie and Optare Solo 47051 from Glenrothes to St Andrews. Volvo B10Ms 52420/60/78 are all now in the Reserve Fleet as is Volvo B7R 53290, with similar 53249 transferring from Glenrothes to Blairgowrie. Volvo B12Bs 54063-65/67/70/72-74 from Stagecoach North Scotland are at Glenrothes but 54075 is out of service awaiting repairs and 54047/48 have transferred from Glenrothes to the Reserve Fleet. Volvo B7Rs 53252/82/89 and B12B 54046 are transferred to Stagecoach North Scotland.

The two Tridents that made the journey from Stagecoach Manchester to Stagecoach South East, 17628/29, are allocated to Dover where they have displaced Volvo Olympians 16364/82 to the reserve fleet. 17631 failed on transfer and taken to Stagecoach Midlands’ Rugby depot, when received by Stagecoach South East it will go to Ashford as a replacement for Volvo Olympian 16012. Dart SLF 33175 is currently in use with the training school at Eastbourne whilst 33176 is back in service at Folkestone. At Hastings Volvo Olympian 16297 is back in the main fleet, but Dart SLF 34620 is now in the Reserve Fleet. Several vehicles have been sold and are no longer part of the fleet, there are Volvo Olympians 16361/62/67 and 16509; Volvo B10Ms 20649 and 20832: and MAN/ALX300s 22008, 22107/87/92, 22005 and 22194. Reserve Fleet Dart SLF 34697 is the paint programme cover vehicle at Eastbourne and company records show it has been re-registered from PX05EMF to NDZ3022.
At Stagecoach West, Trident 18182 has transferred from Swindon to Gloucester in exchange for 18436. Gloucester’s 18377 is now officially delicenced for repairs, however 17626 has been returned to service at Gloucester. Dart SLFs now in service are 34733 at Swindon and 34784 at Cheltenham. Delicenced for repairs is Scania/Enviro 400 15973.
Stagecoach Manchester has taken delivery of at least 10463-10474 from the new batch of ADL E40D/Enviro 400s with 10463-67/70 in service at Hyde Road. The first six of the expected batch 10457-62 were diverted to Stagecoach South West with an additional six vehicles being added at the end of the batch for delivery here. Fleet changes at Middleton have seen Volvo SB120/Plaxton Centros 26130-31 moved to the Reserve Fleet and replaced with Enviro 200s 36109/10 from Stockport, whilst TransBus Enviro 300 27501 is now in Reserve and Volvo B7TL 16949 has moved to Stockport. At Ashton, transfers in are Enviro 400s 19004/84/88 which have displaced 19168/80/87 for Magicbus duties at Shartston with 19180/87 awaiting repainting. Transferred from Ashton to Stockport at Enviro 200s 36421/22 whilst Dart SLFs 33866/71/73/75 are all out of service with 33866 awaiting disposal. Now allocated to Ashton is Optare Solo 47618. Hyde Road’s Trident 17632 and Optare Solo 47472 are now in the Reserve Fleet. Enviro 400 19492 has transferred from Stockport to Sharston. The company no longer shows MAN/ALX300s 22231/38 in the fleet so it is assumed they have been sold. A correction to a previous Fleet Ramblings is that Volvo B10M 20982 had not been sold and it, along with 20983 are now in the Training Fleet having displaced 20603/04 which are now for disposal. Also for disposal are former Reserve Fleet Dart SLFs 33867/69/72.

It has been a relatively quiet month for fleet movements at Stagecoach South. The Optare Solo SR transferred from Stagecoach South East (47874) has been allocated to Aldershot where it has displaced Solo 47539 to the Reserve Fleet. Volvo Olympian 16769 has been transferred from Winchester to Andover and 16291, which had been on loan to Stagecoach South East at Hastings returned here on January 14th and is now part of the Reserve Fleet located at Basingstoke.
New vehicles dominate the changes at Stagecoach South West with Enviro 400MMCs 10455/56 in service at Exeter and similar 10457-62/88-99 at Plymouth with 10500-03 awaiting entry into service. Also new at Plymouth are 11.9m Enviro 200MMCs 26034-38. The company has also taken deliver of Volvo B11Rs 54319-26 which are painted in a green based scheme with Falcon branding for a new Plymouth-Bristol service. Dart SLF 34777 has been allocated to Plymouth ousting 33865 to the Reserve Fleet. Two further Tridents to be converted to Open Top here are 17705 and 17706. A significant number of Tridents are out of use with 17002/03/05/06/10/11/38/51/55/56/57/58 and 17670 for disposal. 17289/90 are due to transfer to Stagecoach North Scotland; 17329/30/37 to Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire with 17294/95/97/99 expected to be allocated to other Stagecoach UK Bus companies.
